Meet the Team:
Beth Hallett
For the second instalment of our Meet the Team series, we wanted to introduce our Client Account Manager, Beth Hallett.
Having initially joined the team as a Field & Admin Executive back in March 2022, Beth has proved herself a force to be reckoned with in the world of field sales and marketing, and is often the first port of call for a number of clients.
So, without further ado, it’s time to get to know Beth a little better in her own words!
Meet Beth:
Hard at work as usual filming an in-store training video for her team.
First of all, Describe Yourself in Three Words:
Passionate, Perfectionist & Caring
And What About Mirror?
Dynamic, Energetic & Supportive
How Did you Start your Career in Field Marketing?
My first ever job was in a lovely small independent shop called ‘The Book Shop’. Although it was small, it was packed full of books, cards, stationery and gifts. The owner taught me everything I know about how to merchandise well and make sure all the products were front facing, tidy and looking great for every customer that walked through the door.
Back where it all began: Beth and her first manager at The Book Shop.
Fast-forward to 7 years later when I met Sophia for a coffee to talk about my new Field Support position, I had absolutely no idea that anyone other than the retailers would need to merchandise as I had been taught that it was my main priority!
Now as an account manager I bring together everything I have learnt from the little shop to the years of field experience to make sure I give the client the best outcome possible.
What’s your Favourite Thing About Working at Mirror?
Without a doubt it would have to be my fabulous colleagues! I couldn’t get through the day without them.
Who Would be your Dream Client?
Many of my family and I suffer with quite a few allergies, I would love there to be a brand out there that would make allergen free food!
Are There Any Upcoming Trends/Societal Changes you See Shaping the Future of Field Marketing?
The online market is incredibly popular as it helps people with limited time to shop, but in the age of scrolling it is so easy to pass by any advertising.
However, nothing beats stumbling across something new and amazing standing out on the shop floor grasping your attention straight away to have a look!
What’s your Favourite Way to Unwind After a Busy Week?
The thing I look forward to the most at the end of a busy week is heading round to my Mums to bake a cake, drink some wine and have a boogey in their back garden bar! Oh and maybe a snuggle with my lovely cat, Monty, of course.
When she’s not busy providing an exceptional service for our brands, Beth is also an avid snowboarder.
If you Could Have Dinner With Any Three People (Dead or Alive), Who Would They Be and Why?
- Melissa McCarthy – I think she’s an awesome actress and we would have such a laugh!
- David Attenborough – he would have the most amazing stories to tell, although his voice is so calm I’d be asleep in minutes.
- Gino D’Acampo – he would have to cook of course.
And Finally, What’s your go-to Karaoke Song?
Pencil Full of Lead by Paolo Nutini – I know it off by heart!
